I've got a "thing" for globes and had one of these that had stopped working after it had been packed away for 5 years. I wanted a new one for the home office in my new home. I bought a custom base for it and it fits perfectly with the design theme in my office. Its a bit expensive for what it is, but I wanted what I wanted, and bought it!
