Postal Annex Longmont: Where Everyday Errands Meet Unexpected Discoveries
While most know Postal Annex as a reliable hub for shipping, notary, and business services, the Longmont, Colorado location offers something extra—a boutique gift experience with a twist. Among passport photos, packing supplies, and mailboxes, you’ll also find thoughtfully curated items like MOVA Globes, adding a delightful surprise to your everyday errands.
We spoke with Natalie Cook, store manager of Postal Annex Longmont, to learn how this unique location blends convenience with creativity—and how MOVA Globes have carved out a niche in an unexpected retail setting.
About the Store
We are a traditional Postal Annex offering services such as packing, shipping, copying, key cutting, and notary services. After taking over from the previous owner 18 months ago, we began introducing new merchandise like Melissa & Doug products for children and Avanti cards.
We specifically look for unique and interesting items. For example, we carry locally made gifts by a Longmont-based photographer who creates “Lovin’ Longmont” cards and products. Our store owner, Louise Gee, also discovered handcrafted rosewood pieces that can function as trivets or transform into decorative baskets. These kinds of items make our shop feel special and different.

Discovering MOVA Globes
We first discovered MOVA Globes at the Postal Annex Convention last year, where another store owner showcased his best-selling gifts. We were immediately captivated by their beauty, technology, and the sense of “magic” they bring. We left feeling excited about introducing something truly unique to our customers.
About Longmont, Colorado
Longmont is a welcoming, family-friendly community of about 90,000 people located roughly 30 minutes north of Denver, between Boulder and Fort Collins. It has a more relaxed, rural feel and sits at the base of Longs Peak, which is where the city gets its name.
Must-Visit Spot in Longmont
One of the best places to visit is McIntosh Lake. It offers stunning views of the Rocky Mountain Front Range—perfect for a peaceful picnic and taking in Colorado’s natural beauty.
Displaying MOVA Globes In-Store
Initially, we placed the globes in different areas of the store, but recently we moved them to the center counter—and interest skyrocketed. Seeing 6–10 globes spinning together is mesmerizing and naturally draws customers in.
This setup gives us the opportunity to engage with customers, explain how the globes work, and showcase their unique technology. One of the best moments is picking one up while it continues to spin—the reactions are priceless!
Favorite MOVA Globe Designs
Louise’s favorite is the Earth with Clouds, which she describes as heaven’s view of our planet—clean, beautiful, and inspiring.
I personally love the planetary designs, especially Jupiter, with its rich colors and swirling storms. These designs capture the imagination and remind us of the wonder of space.
Final Thoughts
We’ve truly enjoyed offering MOVA Globes in our store. They represent a perfect blend of art, science, and technology. Even more meaningful is that we’ve gifted them to our own family members—making them something we genuinely believe in.
Having products we love makes a huge difference. MOVA Globes have become both a conversation piece and a memorable highlight for our customers. Displaying them in motion brings an energy to the store that people naturally gravitate toward.
